Paxon teachers are ready for the return to school!

This week, members of the Paxon English department met for their annual summer planning session. They engaged in reflection and planning for the new year, enjoyed a meal, and engaged in some friendly competition in our Book Spine Poetry Battle.

At Paxon, our faculty works year round to give their best to every student. Thank you to our teachers for getting a jump start on the new year. We are eager to welcome all of our teachers back on August 4th!

Paxon Eagles are ready for our return to school!

During our freshmen transition program, our upperclassmen helped our new students learn what it means to be an Eagle! We are excited for the energy and high expectations our newest Eagles will bring to our school community.

Thank you to Chartwells K12, Paxon SAS PTSA, Florida Virtual School - FLVS, Jacksonville Public Library, DCPS Transportation, Florida State University, University of Central Florida, University of North Florida, Jacksonville University, and Florida State College at Jacksonville for partnering with us to make all of our orientation events a success!

Mrs. Watson has spent more than 20 years as an educator in DCPS teaching at the middle and high school levels. Enroll Now: Summer Driver Education Program – Limited Spots Available! Thank you for your interest in our Summer Driver Education Program! We are excited to offer two available sessions to help students develop safe and responsible driving skills. Driver Education Course Description This Driver Education Course is designed to equip new and experienced drivers with the essential knowledge and skills needed for safe and responsible driving. The course covers traffic laws, driving techniques, vehicle operation, and accident prevention strategies. Through a combination of classroom instruction, interactive activities, and behind-the-wheel training, students will gain confidence in handling various driving situations. Course Topics Include: • Rules of the Road & Traffic Laws • Safe Driving Techniques & Defensive Driving • Road Signs, Signals, and Markings • Parking, Lane Changes, and Highway Driving • Handling Emergency Situations & Hazard Recognition • Impaired & Distracted Driving Awareness • Vehicle Maintenance & Safety Checks Upon successful passing and completion of the course, participants may be eligible for a driver’s license, or an insurance discount, depending on state regulations.
