A Busy week for the Paxon Eagles! This past week was full for the Eagles. Our 9th-11th graders sat for the PSAT examine, ready and determined to show what they know. We look forward to our new group of National Merit Semi-Finalists and Finalists from this round of testing. The Class of 2025 celebrated themselves with our annual Senior Breakfast. Our Senior officers did an outstanding job planning and executing this event. Thank you to Herff Jones and Lifetouch for sponsoring our hot food items. A special thank you to the parents of the Class of 2025 for their generous donations of food items and for volunteering for the event. Paxon Girls' Weightlifting hosted our first meet of the season and did an outstanding job! Congratulations to our honor roll students who received sweet treats for their academic accomplishments and to our students who were rewarded through our PaxMart PBIS initiative. The Paxon Chorus is busy preparing to be featured at the DCPS School Board meeting next Monday and a DCPS district choral event and recruitment activities next week. Paxon Forensics students have been studying crime scenes and how evidence supports the crime. They had a scary good time researching various unsolved cases focusing on evidence and the reasons the case was not solved. They worked together to research and answer questions Who? What? Where? How? Paxon Football is 7-1. This has been our best season ever! Our team's hard work has secured a spot in the playoffs. We will host the first round tonight at home. Please come out and support our team as we strive to bring home a championship. Whew! What a week! This is just a sampling of what life is like on our campus. At Paxon, our students get a full range of academic and extracurricular experiences.
