We are very excited to celebrate Unity Day TODAY by wearing ORANGE and making a visible statement that SPE is a school family focused on promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!
What is Unity Day?
Unity Day, started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in October 2011, is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month. This is a day when we can come together to send a visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. The call to action is simple: wear and share the color ORANGE. This vibrant statement becomes a conversation starter, showing support for students who have been bullied and for bullying prevention.
Why do we wear ORANGE?
Unity Day is held during October, and orange is a color commonly identified with that month and season. It is also a color associated with safety and visibility. Orange is described as warm and inviting, and its vibrancy makes a strong statement.
We look forward to seeing our school turn Orange as we spread kindness!!

Dear Sabal Palm Elementary Families,
I regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, the PTA and I made the difficult decision to cancel our highly anticipated Fall Festival scheduled for this Friday. I know how much our school community was looking forward to this event, and this decision was not made lightly.
We understand the disappointment this brings, especially to those who have been planning and preparing for this event. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your continued support. Please monitor your emails and social media platforms for additional updates from PTA regarding upcoming events!
Warmest regards,
Amber Felts
Principal, Sabal Palm Elementary School
