Good evening, Twin Lakes Academy Elementary School families! Today at school, we talked about Curiosity — the urge to learn new things! Being curious helps us explore the world. Curiosity is also the name of NASA’s robot on Mars. Let’s see what Leo and Luna discover today!
If you forgot to sign up on MyBooster.com last night, that’s okay! But remember, signing up is the first step to joining in on all the fun of the Wildcat Adventure Dance-a-thon and making a difference here at Twin Lakes Academy Elementary School. Make sure to sign up with your grownup at home to start helping us reach our $12,000 goal!
In addition to getting signed up, we have a fun challenge tonight: Any student who gets a pledge tonight can wear a hat to school tomorrow.

Dear Twin Lakes Academy Elementary families,
You may have recently received a communication about a districtwide survey known as the Data Triangle Survey. We want to echo that message and strongly encourage you to participate.
Your feedback is essential in helping us improve how we serve your child and our school community. The survey takes only a few minutes to complete and covers important topics such as classroom instruction, school safety, communication, and student engagement.
The survey is open now through October 21. You can find more information and access the survey link at www.duvalschools.org/survey.
Thank you for partnering with us to make Twin Lakes Academy Elementary and all Team Duval schools stronger for every student.
With gratitude,
Ms. Ehrenberg

Update on Free Lunch
Yesterday, DCPS sent out a reminder that free lunch for all students would be ending. However, Twin Lakes Elem is classified as a CEP school, which means all of our students still receive a free breakfast and lunch every day. Parents are still welcome to add money to their student's MySchoolBucks account. This will allow them to be able to purchase "extras" like ice cream and chips. If you wish to do this, please make sure you are checking the "a la carte" feature. This is the only way students will be able to purchase those extras when using their MySchoolBucks account. Please reach out to stokera@duvalschools.org if you have any questions.

Wildcat Parents,
Our top priority at TLAE is to ensure that all of our students remain safe while they are at school.
We have added new front door signage to reflect DCPS policies involving safety and security. Upon arriving at TLAE, all visitors will need to use the Push to Talk button located to the left of the front door and be ready to show a physical copy of their government issued ID and state their reason for visiting before being buzzed into the building.
A government issued ID can be any of the following: a valid Drivers License, State ID, Military ID, or Passport. We can no longer accept a photo of your ID on your phone.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we implement these changes to ensure the safety and security of our building.
