Please also remember that dress code expectations will still be strictly enforced. Students should not bring or wear prohibited items such as slides, Crocs, hoodies, or other non-approved items. Parents and guardians, please be advised that prohibited items brought to school will be confiscated.

In addition, dismissal will begin at 1:15 PM on Thursday, May 28. Please make plans accordingly.

☀️❤️🖤 Raider Nation Summer Camp Update | Raider Summer College 🖤❤️☀️

Good Evening, Raider Nation families.

Summer is almost here, and we want our students plugged into a safe, fun, and future-focused opportunity.

Our FREE Raider Summer College through Communities In Schools, Team-Up, and the Kids Hope Alliance will be held at Westside Middle School from June 8 through July 17, Monday through Friday.

This opportunity is open to rising 6th through 8th graders and is designed to help students get a head start on their future.

Students will have opportunities to:
✔️ Build academic skills
✔️ Gain confidence
✔️ Prepare for college and career pathways
✔️ Participate in academic prep
✔️ Explore college and career options
✔️ Strengthen study skills
✔️ Develop teamwork and leadership
✔️ Practice goal setting

Students may also have the opportunity to earn junior certificates in areas such as CPR, First Aid, Cheer Safety, Digital Arts, Keyboarding, Auto Maintenance, Business Management, and more.

Important Registration Update:
⚠️ All spots are first-come, first-served
⚠️ Spaces are limited
⚠️ Acceptance letters have already been sent for accepted students
⚠️ We currently have 90 incomplete student applications

Families, if your student’s application is incomplete, please complete it as soon as possible. Spots are filling fast, and incomplete applications may delay or prevent your student from being accepted.

Tonight is Raider Ball, and we are ready for an unforgettable evening with Parisian flair, elegance, and celebration. Students, do not be fashionably late. We need you in the building and ready to enjoy every moment from the very beginning. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

As students arrive, voting for Raider Ball King and Queen will begin immediately, so make sure you are on time and ready to cast your vote. Dinner will begin being served promptly at 6:30 PM, and we have even more surprises in store throughout the evening.

🎓❤️🖤 Raider Nation 8th Grade End-of-Year Bash Updates 🖤❤️🎓

Raider Nation families, the countdown is on, and we have an important update regarding our 8th Grade End-of-Year Activities.

At this time, online payments have been suspended due to a glitch in the payment system that allowed families to continue paying for events after event capacity had already been reached. Families whose payments were affected by this issue will receive refunds. Moving forward, all payments for the remaining events must be processed at the school.

Remaining End-of-Year Events:

🍽️ Sign & Dine – May 18 | $70
Students may purchase their yearbook and enjoy a catered breakfast on campus, featuring yearbook signing, music, entertainment, and time to celebrate with classmates.

🎪 Raider Carnival – May 19 | $15
Students will enjoy a fun-filled field day featuring a food truck, a game truck, and engaging activities to close out the year with joy and Raider pride.

🎓 8th Grade Celebration – May 21 | FREE
Students and two adult guests will attend a commemorative celebration as we honor our 8th graders and celebrate this major milestone in their journey to high school.

✨ Raider Ball – May 22 | $50
Students will enjoy an elegant evening in Paris-themed style with a catered meal, music, dancing, and memories to last a lifetime.

Important payment and participation reminders:
✔️ Online payments for the remaining events are suspended
✔️ All remaining payments must be made at the school
✔️ All payments must be completed by May 15
✔️ Spaces for each event are filling fast
✔️ Students must be eligible and must have received an invitation to participate
✔️ Ineligible Students cannot participate in any end-of-year activities unless they have a completed appeals document and receive a yes vote from the appeals panel

Good Evening, Raider Nation families.

This is an important testing reminder for Thursday, May 14.

On Thursday, we will administer Algebra 1 for 8th grade. We will also conduct Math makeups for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

We need every Raider present, on time, focused, and ready to give their best effort. This is another important testing day, and we want our students walking in confident, prepared, and ready to show what they know.

Right now, all of our data is trending toward B-school status, and we are here to change history for Raider Nation. Every testing day matters. Every point matters. Every student matters.

Families can help by making sure students:

✔️ Get a good night’s sleep Wednesday evening
✔️ Arrive to school on time Thursday morning
✔️ Eat breakfast
✔️ Bring a charged laptop if needed

🎓❤️🖤 Raider Nation 8th Grade End-of-Year Bash Updates 🖤❤️🎓

Raider Nation families, the countdown is on, and we have an important update regarding our 8th Grade End-of-Year Activities.

At this time, online payments have been suspended due to a glitch in the payment system that allowed families to continue paying for events after event capacity had already been reached. Families whose payments were affected by this issue will receive refunds. Moving forward, all payments for the remaining events must be processed at the school.

Remaining End-of-Year Events:

🍽️ Sign & Dine – May 18 | $70
Students may purchase their yearbook and enjoy a catered breakfast on campus, featuring yearbook signing, music, entertainment, and time to celebrate with classmates.

🎪 Raider Carnival – May 19 | $15
Students will enjoy a fun-filled field day featuring a food truck, a game truck, and engaging activities to close out the year with joy and Raider pride.

🎓 8th Grade Celebration – May 21 | FREE
Students and two adult guests will attend a commemorative celebration as we honor our 8th graders and celebrate this major milestone in their journey to high school.

✨ Raider Ball – May 22 | $50
Students will enjoy an elegant evening in Paris-themed style with a catered meal, music, dancing, and memories to last a lifetime.

Important payment and participation reminders:
✔️ Online payments for the remaining events are suspended
✔️ All remaining payments must be made at the school
✔️ All payments must be completed by May 15
✔️ Spaces for each event are filling fast
✔️ Students must be eligible and must have received an invitation to participate
✔️ Ineligible Students cannot participate in any end-of-year activities unless they have a completed appeals document and receive a yes vote from the appeals panel
✔️ This includes the 8th Grade Celebration promotional ceremony

Families, please do not wait. If your student is eligible and invited, complete your remaining event payments at the school as soon as possible. We are excited to celebrate our students, but capacity is limited, and slots are moving quickly.

Good Evening, Raider Nation families.

This is an important PM3 testing reminder for Wednesday, May 13.

On Wednesday, our 7th and 8th grade students will take Civics. ESE testing will also be included as scheduled.

We need every Raider present, on time, focused, and ready to perform at a high level. Civics is an important opportunity for our students to demonstrate what they know, apply their learning, and continue helping Raider Nation move forward.

Right now, all of our data is trending toward B-school status, and we are here to change history for Raider Nation. Every testing day matters. Every point matters. Every student matters.

Families can help by making sure students:

✔️ Get a good night’s sleep Tuesday evening
✔️ Arrive to school on time Wednesday morning
✔️ Eat breakfast
✔️ Bring a charged laptop if needed
✔️ Read carefully, use their strategies, and stay focused
