CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Our success as an A-rated district with a 97.6% graduation rate would not be possible without these dedicated professionals. As part of this special week, dozens of counselors gathered at the Schultz Center for their annual conference, focused on building student “superpowers” like grit and resilience – perfectly aligned with the national theme of helping students thrive and preparing them for college, career, and life. Their commitment to growing their own “superpowers” directly fuels student success across Team Duval. Join us in thanking our outstanding school counselors for the lasting difference they make in our schools and community!

AC Update:

We have techs here looking at the AC unit. There is a bad part and they are looking to find a replacement. However, there is no time frame of when it will be repaired. If you feel it necessary to come pick your child up, please do so. Otherwise, please know we are doing our very best to keep everyone comfortable and running the day as normal. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I will continue to keep you posted.

Good morning Crystal Springs families,

I wanted to let you know that the AC is not working this morning. We have called it in and hope to have someone out here soon to evaluate and come up with a plan to fix it. However, we will continue to run a normal school day with fans and doing what is necessary to keep everyone as cool as possible. If you so choose to keep your child home due to health reasons or other concerns, the absence will be excused for today- Monday, May 11th. I will keep you posted once I have updates and the air is up and running.

The one change is that we are going to make is to adjust Math State testing up. Here are the new days:
Tuesday, 5/12- 3rd grade
Wednesday, 5/13- 4th grade
Thursday, 5/14- 5th grade
It is imperative that your child is here on the day for testing.

Thank you for your patience!

Good morning Crystal Springs families!

With the multiple wildfires occurring in and around Jacksonville, I want you to know that we are closely monitoring the Air Quality to ensure that it is safe for our students, faculty, and staff to go outside for recess and PE. Please know that we will always air on the side of caution as our students, faculty, and staffs safety and well-being are always our priority! If the air quality is deemed unhealthy, students will have inside recess and inside PE.

I appreciate your continued support!

Good afternoon Crystal Springs Families!

I wanted to let you know that multiple schools in Duval County, including Crystal Springs, have received anonymous phone calls of a threat being made where someone was armed in the parking lot. District and school police are very aware and are handling this situation with JSO. Our officer, Officer Steve and I, have been monitoring the perimeter non-stop. We are monitoring all parking lots continuously and no one is out there that should not be. All faculty, staff, and students are safe and in their classrooms with instruction and learning continuing. Please do not feel that you need to come pick your child(ren) up as, again, they are safe and learning continues. Recess and PE will be inside the rest of the day! I will continue to keep you posted if anything changes. Thank you!

PFEP Meeting Announcement
Welcome back Crystal Springs Dolphins! The last 2 days have been a fantastic start into the 4th nine weeks. As a reminder to Car Rider parents, car rider dismissal begins at 2:40pm until 3:10pm. The car rider gate will close at 3:10pm. Our car rider line moves quickly and efficiently to ensure that parents are not waiting in the care rider line for a long period of time. If you are concerned about the wait time during car rider dismissal, bus rider dismissal can be an alternative for your family. If you would like more information on your child becoming a bus rider, please contact the main office at (904) 693-7645 for bus and rout information.
