We have just received a notification from the bus company letting us know they are working to get drivers for routes 108 and 256 this afternoon. We will update you when/if we receive any updates regarding this.

We have received word the bus carrying route 108 is having mechanical issues and is on the side of the road. Another bus is enroute. 256 students are still at the school and are waiting for that bus to return to pick them up.

Route 108 does not have a driver for this afternoon. The driver for 256 will be running both routes. She will run the first route and return to pick up the other route. We will update PikMyKid as the busses are loaded.

Hello, Mamie Agnes Jones Families, I hope you have all kept warm during our winter weather this past week! Temperatures this week are forecast to be cool in the mornings, but warming up in the afternoons. With that said, it is very helpful if you can put your child’s name in their jackets/sweaters. This helps us to return them in the event they are left somewhere – usually out on the playground once they get warm. We already have a number of jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts and other items that have been left in common areas that we would like to return to their rightful owners and will have a “lost and looking to be found” walk-through in the cafeteria next week. We are celebrating Literacy Week this week. The Scholastic book fair here and we will have our Title I Literacy Night on Thursday, January 30th beginning at 6:00 PM! You will not want to miss this fun and informative evening and book fair will be open for families to shop. The week will close with our school Vocabulary Parade, where students are encouraged to dress to represent a vocabulary word. Additional information about this event has gone home and you may reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions. The Patrol Sponsored Mommy-Son Dance which will take place this coming Saturday, February 1st. Ticket money must be either turned in or paid online by Tuesday, January 28th. The Daddy-Daughter Dance will be held the following Saturday, February 8th. Please mark your calendar and make plans to attend our Mid-Year Stakeholders Meeting on Monday February 10th immediately following our SAC meeting at 4:45 PM in the Media Center.
