FIVE TEAM DUVAL SCHOOLS RECOGNIZED AS ATTENDANCE CHAMPIONS – This Team Duval Shoutout celebrates five schools that have gone above and beyond in their efforts to improve attendance at their schools. These “Attendance Champions” are Anchor Academy Elementary, Cedar Hills Elementary, Northwestern Legends Elementary, Pickett Elementary, and Alfred I. duPont Middle schools. Each school received a large banner ahead of the new school year, allowing leaders to proudly display their achievements for all parents, students, and community members to see. Great work!

Dear Northwestern families, The Florida Legislature is in session, and unfortunately, they are considering legislation that would have a strong negative impact on our schools. One of the things schools in Duval are known for is providing all students with programs to accelerate college credit and career development experiences. Unfortunately, the legislature is considering cutting funding to these highly successful programs by 50%. These are programs that enable your students to earn free college credit and career certifications while in high school. A 50% cut to our highly successful college dual enrollment, career training, and advanced high school diploma programs would be devastating and will impact all students. Attached is a one-page fact sheet about this proposed legislation. Please take a moment to review the attachment. If you are willing, please send a note with your feelings on this issue to your elected representatives. Good morning Hive Parents! I've been working all year for an additional bus to support students within a mile radius. I received a grant to help fund this request for the remainder of the year! If your child lives near these new stops, please contact me as soon as possible. The new route will begin on Monday.

We are partnering with a group that will provide meals to our students over spring break! If interested, please complete the QR code on the flyer.
