Car Rider Dismissal Update – Please Read Carefully
In an effort to ensure a smooth and efficient car rider dismissal today—especially in case PikMyKid experiences any issues—we are implementing a backup plan to help us pivot quickly with minimal disruption.
Here’s what we need from you:
*Please keep your car tag clearly visible until your child is safely in your vehicle. This is essential for helping us identify and match students quickly.
*At the gate: One faculty member will enter your PikMyKid number as you arrive.
*Near the car rider circle: Another staff member will input your information into an alternate platform to ensure we can continue dismissal seamlessly if needed.
While this process may take slightly longer than the normal method of the PikMyKid platform, we believe these steps will make dismissal more efficient and adaptable if needed.
We truly appreciate your patience, flexibility, and grace over the past few days. Thank you for working with us to keep things running smoothly!

Dear Loretto Owls,
Thank you so much for your incredible patience, understanding, and grace during today’s Car Rider Dismissal. We truly apologize for the extended wait time in the car rider line. Please know it will get smoother each day.
Unfortunately, our dismissal system, PikMyKid, experienced an unexpected outage (actually most of the region had the outage), which required us to quickly pivot and adapt to ensure every student got home safely. Your support and flexibility during this time meant the world to us.
We are grateful for our amazing Loretto community and appreciate you more than words can express.
Important Information for Dismissal!!
ALL Changes to Dismissal Need to be in PikMyKid....no exceptions
Car Riders:
- Car Line opens at 2:25
- Please have your PikMyKid Number in your dashboard and easily visible
*Our car tags are not in yet, you can use the paper tag you received at Meet and Greet, your tag from last year, or their number written large on a piece of paper! You MUST have this number!!!
-Carline ends at 3:08 (If someone does not take your number at the entrance please proceed to Front Office, Park and come in)
Walkers:
-2:55 Kindergarten Walkers Dismissed (Please have PikMyKid Number)
-3:00 1st Grader Walkers Dismissed (Please have PikMyKid Number)
-3:05 2nd-5th Grader Walkers Dismissed
Extended Day:
-Extended Day Pick Up will not start until 3:15 (No exceptions unless you change the student in PikMyKid to be a Car Rider)
-Please proceed to the Car Circle and someone will take your PikMyKid number, and your student will come out.
