During orientation, families will receive important information about camp expectations, daily schedules, field trips, and our Summer College Tours. This meeting is important, and all Raider U families are expected to attend.

We are also asking families to support our scholars by donating much-needed snacks and juices for camp. If you are able to contribute, please bring your donations with you to orientation. Every contribution helps us keep our scholars fueled, focused, and ready for a strong summer.

Parents and guardians are reminded that student grades can be checked at any time through your Parent Portal account. To access your student’s grades, you must have a Parent Portal account and be properly linked to your student.

Students should not bring bookbags to school today. As we continue through the final days of the school year, this expectation remains in place to help us maintain a safe, orderly, and focused campus environment.

We are also aware of a viral trend connected to “senior dress.” Please be advised that Westside Middle School will operate as normal today. This is not an approved dress-down day or theme day. Uniform and dress code expectations will remain in full effect.

Summer is almost here, and we want our students plugged into a safe, fun, and future-focused opportunity.

Our FREE Raider Summer College through Communities In Schools, Team-Up, and the Kids Hope Alliance will be held at Westside Middle School from June 8 through July 17, Monday through Friday.

This opportunity is open to rising 6th through 8th graders and is designed to help students get a head start on their future.

Students will have opportunities to:
✔️ Build academic skills
✔️ Gain confidence
✔️ Prepare for college and career pathways
✔️ Participate in academic prep
✔️ Explore college and career options
✔️ Strengthen study skills
✔️ Develop teamwork and leadership
✔️ Practice goal setting

Students may also have the opportunity to earn junior certificates in areas such as CPR, First Aid, Cheer Safety, Digital Arts, Keyboarding, Auto Maintenance, Business Management, and more.

Important Registration Update:
⚠️ All spots are first-come, first-served
⚠️ Spaces are limited
⚠️ Acceptance letters have already been sent for accepted students
⚠️ We currently have 90 incomplete student applications

Our FREE Summer Camp, in partnership with Communities In Schools, Team-Up, and the Kids Hope Alliance, is an exciting opportunity for students to enjoy a full experience filled with class clubs, enrichment, field trips, field days, and water days. This is more than just summer supervision. It is a chance for students to learn, have fun, build relationships, and make lasting memories.
