All students are required to wear their school-issued ID on a lanyard, visible around their neck, at all times while on campus.

IDs must be worn upon entry and throughout the entire school day
IDs may not be placed in pockets, purses, or bookbags
Replacement IDs are $5 and can be purchased through SchoolCash Online or during lunches through our Parent Liaison, Mrs. Hamilton
Students without IDs will receive progressive discipline

IDs are a critical safety measure that allow us to quickly identify students and ensure all individuals on campus belong.

🚌 Bus Ridership Expectations
Transportation assignments are in place for student safety and accountability.

Students must ride their assigned bus only
Riding another bus is not permitted without administrative approval
Students are required to scan their ID when boarding the bus at the morning stop and when exiting school to board the bus in the afternoon
Students must also have their ID for daily school entry
If a student does not have an ID to scan while on campus, STA drivers may deny ridership due to safety concerns
Students without IDs risk losing bus privileges through STA
If bus privileges are revoked, students must be picked up from campus
Bus routes are verified daily through FOCUS and district systems
Bus misconduct may result in disciplinary action and/or suspension of bus privileges

👕 Uniform Expectations (Strictly Enforced)
Students must be in full uniform daily:

6th Grade: Red (logo required)
7th Grade: Black (logo required)
8th Grade: Grey (logo required)

Outerwear must be school-approved (logo) or plain red, black, or grey aligned to grade level.

Uniforms can be purchased through our approved vendor:
https://totalimpactjax.com/westside-middle-school/

The following items are NOT permitted:
❌ Hoodies
❌ Shiesty masks
❌ Leggings, jeggings, sweatpants, or jeans
❌ Wireless headphones or tablets

Students out of uniform will be required to correct the issue immediately. Continued violations will result in disciplinary consequences and/or removal from instruction until compliance is met.

At Raider Nation, safety drives our systems. When expectations are clear and consistent, our students can focus on learning at a high level.

• Leggings
• Jeans or jeans with rips
• Cutoff shorts

🚫 Selling Items on Campus

Students are not permitted to sell items on campus.

Per Duval County Public Schools policy, students may not sell or distribute items on school grounds unless the activity has been approved by school administration as part of an official school-sponsored fundraiser.

Unauthorized selling of snacks, candy, merchandise, or other items will result in confiscation and disciplinary consequences.

📊 Quarter 3 Grades & DMA 3 Scores

This week marks the final week of Quarter 3.

Students should remain focused and complete any outstanding assignments that may help improve their grades before the quarter closes.

Schoolwide DMA 3 testing has concluded, and teachers are currently conducting make-up testing for students who were absent.

DMA 3 serves as an important indicator of how students may perform on statewide assessments approaching in May.

Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to review their student’s academic progress through their Parent Portal accounts and FOCUS.

Upcoming state assessments include:

📘 PM3 — ELA
📗 PM3 — Mathematics
🏛️ Civics EOC — Grades 7 & 8
🔬 Science EOC — Grade 8
🧬 Biology EOC

Families can access additional testing resources here:
